This weeks inspiration: Okinawa, Japan

If you want to get a little taste of longevity, pack your bags and head out to Okinawa, Japan...a city where older adults are living well into their 100's--and not just living...but living well!

The longevity menu, as indicated by the Okinawa Centenarian Study includes the following:

*fresh fish
*miso soup
*local veggies
*rice
*green tea

I am a big believer that food is medicine--what you put into your body, as far as I'm concerned, has a profound affect on your health, longevity and aging process. Up until recently, Okinawa was home to the world's oldest woman, Kama Chinen, who passed away at age 115. May we all be inspired by this beautiful city and start being (if you aren't already) more health conscious! It is never too late to start making healthy choices!
